Our role in
the world is to publish and promote as many great books as possibe to those who like an exciting and challenging read. We
will be publishing at least 50 'indie' writers during 2010. Our motto is "Good books must be published".  Every month, Night Reading will run a poll of ten first chapters loaded on the Night Reading site.
The poll will open on the 25th of each month and close
at midnight on the first of the foillowing month. The winner will receive an offer to be published by Night Publishing.
Five of the first chapters listed on the poll
wil be selected automatically by the Ning 'popularity' formula. We haven't a clue how this is computed. The five other books
on the list will be selected by a Night Reading /Publishing panel.
Additionally, we will be publishing at least four new books a month simply because we want to. We love writing books, we love reading books, and there are some fantastic unpublished books around - thousands of them. We will even publish a book just because your book club says it will buy ten copies. And we will promote the work of already published 'indie' writers we think is must-read. Join the revolution. It is like the 60's all over again! And what is the deal? Are authors locked
in for all time by our contracts? Not exactly. We share royalties 50/50 with the author (75/25 with poets) and
all we ask is that you allow us to continue to sell your book for 12 months from the initial date of publication. You can
publish with everybody else in the world if you wish, so long as we can sell your book for 12 months. We've heard of worse!
